First Tenant for Retail Center Announced 6/15/2007

The first tenant for the Shoppes at Sterkel Park was announced on June 14 at the official groundbreaking ceremony. Rise & Dine Restaurants, a chain originally founded in Florida has agreed to open a new 3,500 square foot restaurant in the center. Rise & Dine specializes in the fast growing breakfast, brunch and lunch food segment. Their locations are open from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and offer a family oriented atmosphere with menu items priced from $7.00 to $9.00. "With the extensive amount of patrons at the nearby Mansfield Area Y and significant number of daytime employees, the restaurant expects to flourish and be a significant new feature to the southwest side of Mansfield", according to Gary Hoyle, Founder, President and CEO of the chain.

Official Groundbreaking of Retail Center 6/15/2007

On Thursday, June 14, a large group gathered to attend the official groundbreaking of the Shoppes at Sterkel Park. In attendence were various members of the City of Mansfield, including Mayor Lidia Reid, Jay Meyers from Simonson Construction and the prncipals of the development. Construction has now started on the new 17,800 square foot retail plaza. Plans call for space to be ready for tenants sometime around the end of the fourth quarter of 2007.
